Catholic Schools Week Begins with Pancakes!!
The theme for Catholic Schools Week this year is Faith! Academics! Service! and it kicks off on Sunday, January 29th with a fabulous OPEN HOUSE & delicious PANCAKE BREAKFAST. Please mark your calendars and join us for the breakfast. In addition to our Open House/ Pancake Breakfast we have planned the following to celebrate Catholic education & St. Patrick Parish School & Students:
Monday: Faith + Academics = Jesus Bingo @ 10:30A.M. All Welcome! Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest @ 12:30P.M. for students 10-14 years.
Tuesday: Faith + Service = Helping those in Need “Jump Rope for Heart” (PreK-4th) from 9-11 & “Hoops for Heart” (5th-8th) from 12-2. See information on the back.
Wednesday: Faith + Academics + Service= FUN We will be going on a special field trip together!
Thursday: Faith + Academics + Service = GO GREEN DAY All students are invited to wear St. Patrick Spirit Wear or anything GREEN (yes, jeans are fine) We will be making special thank yous for those who SERVICE our community.
Friday: Faith + Academics + Service= Celebrating with Family & Friends! Grandparents & Special People are invited to join us for a morning of celebration! Rich Rubietta, a talented guitarist/singer/performer will be here at 8:30 for a special performance and a 10 A.M. Mass will follow. All visitors are invited to a baked chicken lunch with the students at 10:50 A.M. Students may leave before lunch, with the completed paperwork, if the adults choose. This is an EARLY RELEASE DAY. All students will be dismissed at 11:15 A.M. and there are NO buses or After Care.
Winning schools from the 9th Annual PB&J Challenge were honored during half time at the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks game on Monday, January 23. The Peanut Butter and Jelly Challenge is all about kids helping kids. It encourages elementary and middle school students to collect peanut butter and jelly during the month of October. St Patrick's won for the most pounds collected per student. Congratulations St Pats!!! We got 60 seats for the game and 10 lucky students got to be on the court at halftime with their winning banner!!
Jump Rope and Hoops For Heart: (from Mrs. Wales)
These special events will be held during our Catholic Schools Week celebration on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. A collection envelope for each student was sent home today. Please consider requesting donations to help the American Heart Association's efforts to keep hearts healthy! Your child can, with your permission and help, set up their own website for online donations from family and friends who are out of town. Instructions are on their collection envelope. Any checks need to be made out to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are due by Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Check out resources on our school website under my name! Thank you for being a heart hero.

April 9th - NO SCHOOL
April 17th - Report Cards go home (previously was April 10th)

Did you know that anyone who gets pizza or chicken from Pizza Ranch can rip off the perforated wagon on the boxes and send them to school? Pizza Ranch will pay 25 cents per wagon back to the school for supporting them.
